Departments  

Clubwomen are encouraged to select a department of work wherein their interest lies. There is something for everyone who becomes a member of the Federation. The six departments of work and their programs art Arts, Conservation, Education, Home Life, International Affairs and Public Affairs.

 

Arts Department

Projects encouraging artistic expression, and preserving art as a natural resource.

  • Arts in The Community (VSA, music, drama, member craft contests)
  • Writing Contests (member/youth short story, poetry contests)
  • Photography Contests (photography, painting, student art contests)
  • Education Department

    Projects raising awareness of adult/youth literacy and continuing education programs among women.

  • Literacy (Adult, Family, Youth/Aspire)
  • Lifelong Learning (Club and Community Awareness and Education), (HOBY, ESO, Support Libraries, Libraries 2000)

    Interntional Affairs Department

    Projects promoting understanding and acceptance of all peoples and providing international aid.

  • Reaching Out Internationally (Childreach, Operation Smile, CARE) Special Projects (World Food Day, Well Baby Clinic/Vitamins for children, Global Volunteers, Cultural Exchange)

  • Resource Conservation (Education and Awareness (Preservation local, state, national parks, endangered ecosystems and wildlife.)
  • Home Life Department

    Projects providing education on financial issues & health awareness.

  • Helping Hands (National Organization on Disability (NOD), Canine Companions for Independence , March of Dimes, Habitat for Humanity, Easter Seals

    Projects reducing violence, fostering civic involvement, and increasing safety for older Americans.

  • Citizenship (Participation, Historic Preservation, National World War II Memorial Campaign)
  • Community Safety (Violence Against Women, Children/Youth) (Home Safety for Children/Older Americans, Vehicle/Highway Safety for all ages.
